#TeamHaringey6 - 2nd Week of November 2025
Featured News / 14 November
What a week so far it has been for our #TeamHaringey6 students!
We have attended various school career fairs as well as launch our new #H6Experience timetable filled with loads of extra-curricular activities for our students to join.
We started the week where acknowledged it was Remembrance Day Tuesday 11th November which is a memorial day observed in Commonwealth member states since the end of the First World War to honour armed forces members who have died in the line of duty.
#TeamHaringey6 Uniformed Protective Services students and members of the Student Leadership Academy read a poem to the whole of #TeamHaringey6 as they stood for the traditional two minute silence at the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month.

Also #H6 would like to extend a big thank you to the #ArtsAndMedia School for inviting us to attend your recent Careers Fair. It was a pleasure to be part of such an inspiring event that brought together students, staff, and industry professionals.
Our Professional Cookery Teacher and Assistant Head of Creatives attended the fair to support student queries, offer advice, and share insight into career pathways within the creative and hospitality industries.
Events like this provide valuable opportunities for students to explore their options, make connections, and gain confidence in planning their futures. We thoroughly enjoyed meeting everyone and can’t wait to return for the next one!

As part of this week’s enrichment activities, our Level 2 students took part in a Mental Health and Resilience Workshop led by Enoch, a CYPMHS Co-Production and Engagement Coordinator from the North London NHS Foundation Trust.
The session focused on managing the pressures of performance, promoting positive mental health, and improving awareness of accessible mental health services. Enoch created a safe and open environment for discussion, equipping students with practical tools for coping and highlighting the importance of wellbeing — both inside and outside the classroom.
We were also joined by two incredible guest speakers: a #H6Alumni and a former British Army member who served for eight years. Both shared their personal journeys and experiences, offering honest and inspiring testimonies that truly resonated with our students.
The workshop was an engaging and impactful experience, encouraging our learners to prioritise their mental health, build resilience, and recognise the support available to them — including through sport-led wellbeing initiatives.

Also our students from A-Level Law, Level 3 CLP, Business and ICT courses enjoyed an enriching visit to Staffordshire University’s London Campus today. During the trip, they met with university lecturers and took part in engaging taster sessions across several subject areas, including Law, Games Design and Computing.
As part of the experience, students gained valuable insight into potential career pathways within the fields of Law, Business and IT. They also received important information about student finance, along with details of the financial support available to undergraduates at Staffordshire University.
The visit provided students with a real sense of university life and the opportunities open to them in higher education.

We really are #MoreThanACollege — and it never hurts to say it again!
The outstanding contributions made by our students continue to show how they gain the #H6Experience, shaping their paths as #FutureLeaders.
Their passion, innovation, and dedication remind us every day why we’ll always be #MoreThanACollege. #H6Proud
