Curriculum & Learning Manager/Team Leader for Inclusion

Salary : Haringey 6th Form Pay Scales

Full Time Permanent

Start Date: January 2024

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Inclusion Team. We are seeking to appoint an experienced, lively and enthusiastic Curriculum and Learning Manager. A Team Leader with a proven career and experience in inclusive Special Educational Needs curricula and teaching to contribute to the programme area.

The Inclusion Department offers a wide-ranging curriculum to students who experience barriers to learning. These include students with learning difficulties and disabilities, and students with multiple learning difficulties.

This Pathway is for students who are at Entry Level, with a focus on independence and preparing for employment. The curriculum offer is wide-reaching with opportunities to develop employment skills through enterprise and work experience, alongside travel training and independent living skills. The Education & Health Care Plan outcomes for these students are central to the timetable and skills development. Personal well-being and mental health are fostered through an enrichment programme of sport, art, music and drama both within the department and cross college. Maths, English and digital skills are timetabled and embedded in all subjects.

The “CALM” will oversee the contents of the curriculum offer and the quality of teaching and learning, including the learning support. It is essential that they lead, support and motivate staff members, organising regular staff CPD and ensuring all staff are annually appraised. Central to this role is the ability to build and maintain confident and positive relationships with all stakeholders, including other providers, Local Authorities, employers, Trustees and the college Finance Team to monitor student funding and the additional individual student costings.

The successful candidate will be a committed professional who is able to share their enthusiasm with students and staff to deliver a cohesive programme as part of the wider #TeamHaringey6.

Applicants should have extensive experience of working with students who have complex learning difficulties or disabilities, and appropriate qualifications in Special Education, an excellent teacher who has experience of leadership in an educational context.

Cleaner

HARINGEY SIXTH FORM COLLEGE - CLEANER – 15 hours per week

Start date: 8th January 2024

Fixed term position, 52 weeks per annum – 7pm to 10pm Monday to Friday

Salary range – £11.09/hr

This is a wonderful opportunity to work for a well-established college in North London.

Haringey Sixth Form college is looking for a part time cleaner for 15 hours a week to carry out cleaning services in the Tottenham area.

To undertake tasks such as:

·        Clean communal and classroom areas: dust reachable surfaces, polish mirrors, empty bins/change bin bags, hoover and/or mop the floor, wipe all skirtings.

·        You will also sanitise Bathrooms: sanitise all reachable surfaces, sanitise the toilet, clean and polish mirrors, mop the floor, empty bins and change bin bags. You’ll disinfect the Kitchen areas: wipe and sanitise all surfaces, clean hobs/splash-back and clean, vacuum and mop floors and clean all skirtings.

·        Additionally, Hallways & Staircases: dust off reachable surfaces, wipe skirting boards, wipe bannisters, hoover and mop the floor.

The successful candidate will have good communication, a flexible approach to working as part of a team as well as the ability to be able work on their own initiative in a professional manner and have good attention to detail.
