Learning for Life students

Students enroled onto Learning for Life have a bespoke curriculum offer with some accessing formal qualifications including BTECs and others having highly personalised programme of work based on their EHCP targets and independence goals. For students who are not taking a formal acreditation the RARPA approach is used. RARPA stands for Recognising and Recording Progress and Achievement. It’s a way of assessing learning that focuses on each learner’s individual goals. Instead of just using tests or grades, RARPA helps track progress by setting personal learning targets, reviewing how well those targets are met, and celebrating achievements along the way. It’s especially useful in settings like Learning for Life, where learners may have very different starting points and needs.

Students with SEND on mainstream courses can enrol onto the following study programmes:

  • BTEC Vocational Qualifications Levels 1-3

These pathways can lead to Higher Education and employment.
