#TeamHaringey6 - 3rd Week of February 2023 round up

Welcome back #TeamHaringey6 from your half-term break, we hope you enjoyed your time off and had a chance to reflect and revamp for the new week ahead.

To start off our week we had work experience for our #UniformProtectiveServices and #Sport students so London fire brigade gave a presentation and workshop about career opportunities - the students said it was very insightful and something worth thinking about in the future.

It was great to have the Royal Navy come and                 speak to #TeamHaringey6 #UPS and #Sport students about practical leadership and demonstrate this through a team building activity as this all adds to their #H6Experience

DWP worked with L3 UPS students to support them with building a CV and cover letter during this work shop they also learnt about employability and interview skills in preparation for searching and applying for jobs #H6Experience

#TeamHaringey6 Careers Lead #Suzan worked with L1 Sport/PS and L2 PS students to support them with skills and qualities required in the world of work especially if they did not see University as their main option - they also had discussions about money management and finance, they completed their day by drafting their on CV's. #Interesting   

#TeamHaringey6 ended the week on a high as we had an Academic Review Day…where we have parents/carers come in and have discussions with the child’s tutors about their progression…it’s also great to have our student ambassadors available for any queries and guidance.
