One of our Level 3 BTEC Media Studies students had the amazing opportunity to be a part of a fantastic 'shadowing scheme' set up by Event & Visual Communication Association (EVCOM). Their scheme started in January with Pukka Films who were creating a safety training film (top secret!).

Soner Guldag, took part in an exciting shoot with Pukka Films in one of London's major transport hubs. There was explosions, deaths and detached limbs aplenty! Watch this space...

Soner, BTEC Level 3 Creative Media Production said:

“My experience with Pukka was fantastic. Everyone I met was helpful and inspiring. It was amazing to see all of the hard work that goes into creating the products we consume every day. I would love to work in Media production in the future. I was on set for 10 hours and it felt like 5 minutes. It was so enjoyable.”

Soner's Media Studies teacher, Chris Brown:

"Soner's experience on set was unbeatable. He assisted in setting up a large, complex shoot, acted as a runner, and appeared as an extra. Spending time in the company of industry professionals performing a variety of roles and having the opportunity to see what they do, as well as ask questions, has allowed Soner to see that there is a place for wonderful young people like him in the industry. The fact that Soner has been invited by Pukka to spend time with them in post-production, speaks volumes of the impression he made."
