Visit to Old Trafford

On Friday 15th October fourteen students from Haringey 6th Form had the opportunity to visit Old Trafford, the world famous home of Manchester United.

After arriving at the stadium, the students were given a talk about the club’s history, with the students being given the chance to try on match worn shirts and the boots of Messi, Ronaldo and many other top players. The team were then given an incredible tour of the stadium, that took them into the changing rooms, down the tunnel and pitch side to the dugouts.

It was a special day for Levin Dookhun, an H6 student that has made such great progress since arriving at the college. As a life long Manchester United fan, this was his first trip to the stadium, and he was delighted to have the chance to see inside the stadium, and try on the shirt of his hero Ronaldo.

Following the game, the students were able to take part in a game against Manchester United foundation. After a very slow start, the students found themselves five-nil down, but showed good character to keep going, and got a fully deserved consolation goal in the second half to lose the five one.

All the students were selected for the trip as a result of having over 95% in their college study programs.
