#TeamHaringey6 - Inspiring Futures and Celebrating Culture

Featured News / 16 October

It has been a busy and inspiring time at #H6, with opportunities to explore future pathways, build connections with local schools and celebrate the diverse identities, cultures, experiences and stories that make up our college community.

Working Together to Inspire Future Students

We were delighted to deliver our first collaborative assembly at Mulberry Academy Woodside alongside the London Academy of Excellence Tottenham (LAET). This was a valuable opportunity to introduce pupils to their post-16 options and encourage them to think about their next steps.

Our marketing team also attended the careers fair at Heartlands High School, meeting pupils, answering questions and sharing the courses, opportunities and experiences available at Haringey Sixth Form College.

Exploring Life Beyond College

Our Higher Education and Careers Fair brought future opportunities into college, giving students the chance to explore their options and ask questions to help inform their next steps.

Students also attended the Post-18 and Apprenticeship Fair at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. The visit provided another opportunity to discover possible routes beyond college, from higher education to apprenticeships, and consider how their interests and ambitions could shape their future.

These experiences form an important part of our commitment to helping students make informed, confident decisions about life after H6.

Celebrating Black History Month Through Food and Community

As part of our Black History Month celebrations, our chef has been cooking amazing African and Caribbean dishes each week, bringing a delicious celebration of culture to college life.

Food offers a powerful way to connect people, share traditions and spark conversations. These weekly meals have been a wonderful opportunity to celebrate African and Caribbean heritage and recognise its contribution to our vibrant college community.
