Leo Powell Inspires #H6 with Powerful County Lines Awareness Session
Featured News / 21 November
#TeamHaringey6 recently had the privilege of welcoming Leo Powell, one of the UK’s leading independent County Lines educators, who delivered an engaging and thought-provoking presentation to our young learners. Leo is known nationally for his work in primary schools, secondary schools, and colleges, where he raises awareness of the risks associated with gang exploitation and County Lines activity.
Leo’s work is rooted in safeguarding and protecting young people. His dedication to preventing gang involvement has made him a respected and highly sought-after voice in the field of County Lines education. His sessions aim not only to inform but to empower students with the knowledge and confidence to make safe and informed choices.
Drawing on years of experience working directly with young people in gang-affiliated environments—particularly those involved in the criminal justice system—Leo brings authentic insight into the real dangers and consequences associated with County Lines activities. His first-hand understanding is reinforced by extensive research and collaboration with leading practitioners in gangs, child criminal exploitation, and youth intervention.
During his time with us, Leo introduced students to his comprehensive County Lines education programme. The programme has been widely praised across the UK for its practical guidance, clear messaging, and its impact on both young people and those who support them. Leo regularly delivers his work to practitioners, youth organisations, churches, community groups, and parents, ensuring that safeguarding knowledge reaches all corners of society.

His visit left a lasting impression on our learners, encouraging open conversations around exploitation, vulnerability, and the importance of seeking support. We are grateful for his contribution and for the vital work he continues to do in helping keep young people safe.
