Congratulations to our A-Level students on a set of outstanding results!

  • Almost 60% of A-level subjects achieved 100% pass rates
  • 100% A*B grades in Government & Politics
    • Russ Lawrance Principal, said, "We are thrilled with the outstanding success of our students A Levels results. It has been a busy morning and we are pleased to see so many of our students achieving their expected places at Russell Group and a wide range of other Universities. These results demonstrate that this College is continuously providing high quality education to students in the Haringey and North London area. Our students feel challenged and supported to achieve their very best.”

Over half of our A-Level cohort have received offers from Russell Group and other good Universities.

Russ continued “These results show real strength of academic provision reflecting the overall quality of the A level provision at Haringey Sixth Form College. Students and staff have worked incredibly hard over the past year and we are really proud of these results. Our A-level students now leave us for the next exciting chapter in their lives as they take up their places at university, employment, or begin their gap year and the staff wish them well. Our AS students have laid excellent foundations for the coming year and I am sure they will continue to push themselves. Some of our students were able to overcome really challenging personal circumstances to achieve excellent results. This was partly due to the support and guidance given to them by the college, the staff, and due to their hard work. I would like to once again thank Interim Principal Rob Thomas and all of the staff for going the extra mile with the students, and the parents and carers for their continued support. The “Good” Ofsted inspection last year saw the many strengths of our college and these have been reflected in the results”.

Khadija Ahmed is going on to study English at Warwick University. She commented, “Effort and hard work really pays off! If you don’t work hard, you don’t get the grades. I got an A* in Further Maths and 2 A's in Physics and English Language & Literature. Teachers really care about your future and not just about your grades. My English teacher inspired me to consider English at university and opened me up to the world of literature. She was also a mentor to me”.

Despite the national variability of AS the college also saw some excellent AS results this year with 46% of our students achieving top grades. Congratulations to our AS students and we wish them well for their final year at college.
