L1, L2 and Level 3 Y1 Public Services and Uniformed Protective Services students enjoyed the visit by Met Police Territorial Support Group on Tuesday.

Territorial Support Group goes out to emergency calls involving major or critical incidents and work in the known gang areas Violent Crime Task Force: this taskforce was set up to tackle violent and serious crime on the streets of the capital.

They learnt about specific roles in the police service, entry requirements including academic qualifications and physical test components. We found out that Metropolitan Police is a fully inclusive service, that accepts candidates with learning difficulties such as dyslexia and ADHD and supports them with completing their job roles. Finally, we had a chance to try out some of the equipment and protective uniforms.
