ABL Game 2 report Haringey Sixers vs St Charles College

Haringey Sixers won their second game after a step up to the ABL with a victory over St Charles college 78 - 52.

The first quarter saw the Sixers run out to an early 8-0 run only for St Charles to bring it back to close a low scoring first quarter at 10-8 to Haringey.

Haringey went on a 14-5 run late in the second to go into half time up 33-23.

In the third quarter, Sixers Sheik Sherriff was making his presence felt on both ends of the floor blocking shots and finishing strong at the other end. Hamza Adan hit two big threes to close the third quarter with Haringey up 53-39.

The final period saw Haringey close out the game with more highlights from Sherriff.

Head Coach Perry Lawson said “We stuck to our game plan and came out and executed, it is unfortunate that St Charles were missing a key piece to their team. I can only ask the players to play what is in front of them, it was a great team effort. We have a lot of room for improvement and will be back to the drawing board tomorrow.”

Haringey's Sheik Sherriff top scored with 24 points with Lumear Small adding 16 points.

Haringey will host Alec Reed next week
