Haringey Sixers faced off against Uxbridge College with a 78-70 win
The first quarter of the game remained even throughout, despite a short lead from Uxbridge, until the Sixers came back and stretched the lead against their opponents, the rest of the game belonged to Haringey as the opposition never lead in the game again.
Haringey's success came from top scorer of the game Taiwo Badmus with a solid 43 pts, 6 steals and 11 rebounds, closely followed by Alasan Thomas with 10 points including a solid dunk and 7 rebounds, Ayo Awajobi also added to the score line with 7 points, 6 steals and 5 assists.
Despite Uxbridge’s loss it was clear to see that Singh (13) had really impressed as improvement was evident since their last meeting, the hard work was showed as he even managed 16 pts in the game. Richie Bumba however was Uxbridge’s to scorer with 32 pts, following Singh was S. Afzal with 7 pts
Coach Alex DuCasse said “in spurts our offence and defence was looking great, but were going back to work on both so were able to maintain these spurts for longer periods of time, nonetheless it was a good performance today, and a big improvement from our last home game.
Haringey go on to face Moulton College with Uxbridge taking on Alec Reed, both on the 7th of February.
