Sixers took a gruelling trip down the M1 towards North Hampton, home of Moulton College. With traffic being so heavy on the M1, Sixers had little to no time to warm up for the game. Heavy legs and tight muscles Haringey used the first quarter to warm up. Everyone played solid minuets to get losen for the next 3 quarters, however with no warm up this servilely hurt the Sixers. The first quarter ending up 36-10 to Moulton College.
The second quarter was played smarter as the boys were given the instruction to slow down Moulton’s fast break style of basketball. However even though the Sixers slowed down their offence, they still seemed to struggle on the offensive end of the court ending the quarter 17-10 to Moulton.
The second half of the game saw the Sixers ready to play. The sixers had ample time to warm up in the first two quarters, closing the gap on the Moulton side. Entering the fourth being 25 points down, sixers had to dig deep, to close this gap. Sixers played an amazing set of defence for the last 10 minutes left of play, turning lose balls, steals and rebounds in points for the Sixers team. Haringey won that quarter 42-18, however with a great quarter, played like this, it was just a little too late secure a victory.
Haringey go on to play Gateway at home next Thursday.
