Haringey vs Long road
On Thursday Haringey went on the road to play away, against Long road. The Sixers came out with the win after an hour and a half drive 76-71.
The Sixer came out aggressive but started playing to the level of Long road, with Josh Robinson 9 out of the 19 points in the first quarter. With their aggressive defence they sent Long road to the line 5 times in the first were their scored majority of their points. Ending the first quarter 19-17 to the Sixers.
With the first quarter played, used as a warm up, the second quarter was played with a lot more energy. Playing aggressive defence and not fouling the opposition, Sixers went on a 18-8 run is this quarter. Leaving Long road scrambling going into the third quarter. During the third quarter it was the complete opposite and allowed Long road to come back from a 10 point lead to evening out the scores 48-48 going into the 4th. Haringey switched off and looked lost during this quarter.
Playing the 4th Haringey knew they had to run what has been asked of them to come out with a win. Everyone on court fought hard to earn every point back and did not make any of Long roads points easy. Captain, Taiwo Badmus fouled out with 21 points and 6 assists, without his presence on court the sixers scoring started to slow down. Holding onto a lead Haringey was sent to the line with HAci Kurt putting the last few nails in the coffin sealing the game.
