Royal Academy of Art – Student Workshops
Nine lucky second-year A-Level and UAL Art students had been selected to take part in a series of four free practical art workshops at the Royal Academy of Arts.
So far they have taken part in a fantastic drawing and sculpture workshop as well as a portfolio review with current RA students who are studying their postgraduate course.
Next, they are looking forward to doing life drawing in the RA’s world-renowned life room and a session focusing on architectural techniques inspired by their Eco Visionaries exhibition. They are developing some great ideas and practical work that should stand them in good stead when making their art school or university applications later this year.
Russ Lawrance, Haringey Sixth Form College Principal commented, “This is fantastic work. This is going the extra mile again and one of the reasons the students achieve outstanding outcomes in Art here at Haringey Sixth Form College. This additionally creates active learners and facilitates further student understanding of the Art world. It is aligned with our college value of achieving excellence in everything we do, inspiring that deeper commitment to excellence; it really does motivate the students."
