Oxford v Cambridge Rugby Trip Russell Group Forum

Last week, twenty-two students from the Russell Group and Oxbridge Forum travelled to Twickenham, the home of English Rugby, to watch the Varsity Matches between Oxford and Cambridge.

As well as discovering a previously unknown love for rugby, our students had the opportunity to speak to Professor Louise Richardson, the Vice-chancellor of the University of Oxford. She took the time to speak to our students about good interview technique, the need for more women in STEM subjects, and the way America decides who is and isn't a foreign terror organisation - an experience which has certainly increased their interest and confidence in applying to Oxbridge universities.

They enjoyed the chance to meet students of subjects they're thinking of applying for, and spent part of the journey home trying to find recruits for a girls' rugby team at the college. We're looking forward to going back next year.
