We are Investors in Careers
Haringey Sixth Form College has been re-awarded 'The Investor in Careers Award'. The Award is a quality standard for the management of careers education and guidance (CEG) in schools and FE colleges.
This is one of the highest accolades a College can receive for excellence in this area of work and is definitely something we are very proud of. The Investors in Careers Award has supported the College’s opportunity to further expand their involvement with businesses, potentially creating partnerships and linking pupils’ education with the world of work.
Ed Whitefield, IIC consultant said “I am delighted to let you know that CSW Group Ltd has confirmed the decision made by the external assessor, Claire Nix, following her visit to the school, to re-award you The Quality in Careers Standard”
This award is designed as a development tool to help raise standards and recognise excellence in careers education, information, advice and guidance (CEIAG). It is developed to enable schools and colleges to demonstrate that it meets the DfE statutory requirements. It is also recognised as meeting the Quality in Careers Standard which improves students’ awareness of opportunities, raising their aspirations and working with them to ensure they achieve their full potential.
Russ Lawrance, Principal said “It is fantastic that we have received this nationally recognised professional accreditation for career guidance for the next three years. This underlines our commitment to our students. The quest for excellence drives us in everything we do. In this case, providing outstanding career guidance and careers education. Well done Margaret Philips and everyone in involved in the successful re accreditation of the above. Congratulations!”
