Sports Students organise Inclusive Sports Day

The Level 3 year 2 Sport students independently planned and delivered an inclusive morning of sports activities for all of the students in Entry and Foundation. The activities were designed by the students to be inclusive to ensure that all students in the department, regardless of physical and educational needs, were able to participate and have fun. The students thoroughly enjoyed the morning, and were being assessed as part of the Sports Leadership unit on the BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sport. The Sport students demonstrated excellent leadership skills, and were able to continue to develop positive relations with Entry and Foundation students through participating together in physical activity.

Dean Britton, the Curriculum Leader for Entry and Foundation commented: ‘It was a fantastic morning of physical activity for my students. It was great to see them all so engaged with sport, and having so much fun. The entry and foundation staff would like to thank the Sport students for planning such a great morning.’
