#H6 Football at Southend United FC.

12 of our #TeamHaringey6 students had the opportunity to play at Southend United Football Club on Monday 31st May.

The students were given the opportunity as a result of playing for Estudiantes, a sport for development club that provides an elite football training program for students who show an Outstanding Attitude towards their Education.

In an even and well contested game against Player Path FC, neither team could break the deadlock, with the game against ending 0-0. Despite this there was plenty of high-quality football on show throughout the game. Djibril Diallo gave his best performance of the season and at times dominated the game with his powerful running. The incredible playing surface, allowed for both teams to pass the ball out from the back, with the 12,000 all seater stadium creating a wonderful atmosphere for the players to enjoy.

Playing on the largest professional football pitch in England on such a hot day, was always going to be a big challenge for the team, but they coped brilliantly, retaining possession of the ball as much as possible, and showing great enthusiasm to defend and attack as a team.
