#H6 Entry and Foundation Cycling
#TeamHaringey6 Entry and Foundation ICT Class had the pleasure of doing a cycling session with our very own CEO Russ Lawrance. Previously, Russ kindly joined our rowing sessions at Lea Rowing Club but this year it was cycling.
Healthy living and promoting an active lifestyle is an important part of Entry and Foundation students’ curriculum. With the help of Tottenham Grammar Foundation , our students have had the chance to try activities such as Rowing, Climbing, Cycling and Horse Riding etc.
Class teacher Taskin Barac has liaised with a charity organisation called Pedal Power who kindly provides cycling sessions to students with learning needs. The founder Jo Roach and her team are extremely helpful with our students.
Sessions take place at Finsbury Park Athletic Tracks every Tuesday at 10am - 11am.
Students of Entry 3 ICT class were extremely excited to see Russ taking part in their cycling session and they even had a little race with him.
Russ adds: A huge thank to the staff and students for my invitation to join their weekly cycling activity organise by Jo and her Pedal Power team at Finsbury Park. Cycling can have huge advantages for everyone: I know that for our amazing Entry & Foundation Students as well as physical benefits, it can also offer great independent mobility, plus a great opportunity for fantastic social interaction. I love cycling and I loved the cycling and the engagement with our students. Plus having experienced the activity first hand and I can tell you it was also fantastic fun! Yet again, well done #TeamHaringey6, another fantastic #H6Experience activity. #MoreThanACollege.
