Alexandra Palace Day of the Dead Parade
Haringey Sixth Form College were invited to take part in a very exciting project being run by Alexandra Palace’s event team who offered us a very exciting opportunity for our young people, to work with a professional carnival artist to create parade props inspired by family and friends no longer with us at the Alexandra Palace Day of the Dead Parade and annual Fireworks Display.
The young people at Haringey Sixth Form College were involved in the project and was part of the Parade on 4th and 5th of November wearing the amazing masks that they created over the past few weeks.
The Learning Officer at Alexandra Palace, Isobel Aptaker said “This is the first time the Park and Palace Charitable Trust have worked with the Haringey Sixth Form College and we have been very impressed by the enthusiasm of staff and students. The pieces created with Carnival Art are fantastic and fit perfectly with the rest of the Day of the Dead Parade.
