ABL Regular Season St Thomas the Apostle College vs H6FC
03/10/18
Haringey Sixth Form College visited St Thomas the Apostle College for their second game of the season and proved too much for the hosts, winning 108-56.
The home team came out aggressively and won the first quarter 27-26, through some hot shooting (six three-pointers) from their trio of starting guards.
Eventually Haringey found their rhythm in the second quarter with their stifling defense, causing STAC to turn the ball over, leading to a 16-0 run for Haringey.
A more polished and composed Haringey came out in the second half, dominating the game with their transition offense and pressure defense which ensured a convincing win, led by top scorers Franklin Agu who had 38 points and Alex Distras who had 31 points (which included six three pointers).
Head Coach Franck Batimba said: “We didn’t come out in the first quarter with the energy required to impose ourselves. Our opponents capitalised and had a very good first quarter. But eventually, we stepped up our game and we had another convincing win.”
