BTEC ICT - Entry Level 3
Our Entry Level 3 course is aimed at students with learning difficulties, disabilities and/or on the autistic spectrum aged 16-19 who wish to progress onto the mainstream Level 1 ICT course at Haringey Sixth Form College, or progress onto further college or vocational courses.
The qualification will focus on ICT and prepare students for the demands of mainstream and independent study. There will be emphasis on independence, life skills, English and maths plus social interaction. Physical and sporting activities, as well as regular outings and visits in the local community and work experience opportunities through Mencap and local businesses.
Prospective candidates, should be working at or near Entry Level 3 for basic skills including communication, literacy and numeracy. You will need an Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP) and priority is given to Year 11 students, based in Haringey, from our Special Schools Riverside, The Vale and Heartlands.
Where it leads:
At the end of your course, you may progress to the BTEC Level One ICT course at Haringey Sixth Form College, or progress onto further college or vocational courses.
