Easing of Lockdown Restrictions

As you will be aware, the Government today (22 Feb) published its plan to remove lockdown restrictions, which includes a timetable for re-opening education.

A return to face to face learning for schools and colleges will resume from 8 March and is the first step in existing lockdown.

I wish at this stage to make you all aware of some of the implications:

• After an initial programme of three tests in college, students will be provided with two rapid tests to use each week at home.
• College staff will also be provided with two tests to use each week at home.
• Protective measures across college will be maintained and in some cases strengthened.
• Staff and students in college will be expected to wear face coverings in all indoor areas, including classrooms, as a temporary extra measure.

We will send a more detailed information by the end of the week when we have had time to do a full analysis of the education roadmap and its implementation for Haringey Sixth Form College.

I am as I am sure you all are, absolutely delighted with this news!
