Online Timetable from 6th January
To all our Staff, Students and Families,
I am writing to update you again with further information following the Secretary of State for Education’s announcement today 30 December.
I posted an update on the 28th December and yes within two days things have changed.
The changes are highlighted in bold. The rest remains the same and I know you will all be as #TeamHaringey6 on message.
We have collectively done a great job protecting each other while maintaining your education over the last few months. This must continue.
It’s important that we all maintain the rules and protocols as we return to education over the coming weeks.
By doing so we can all return safely.
The continued implementation of safety measures and the system of controls we have in place in college creates an inherently safer environment for young people and staff. We want you all back college, is the best place for your education.
To support this can I ask you all that if anyone has developed Covid 19 symptoms that before returning to college they take a test and stay at home until the result of that test is known. If you have any doubts please get a test.
Tests can be booked online via the NHS portal https://www.gov.uk/get-coronavirus-test or phoning 119.
I would urge all to be extra careful by washing hands, social distancing and wearing face coverings.
This will help stop the spread and protect the elderly and most vulnerable.
We have been told now that …
1. With the exception of students of key workers and vulnerable students, education from the 4th to 11th Jan will be online.
2. BTEC exams beginning on 6th January will go ahead as scheduled.
3. All students with exams this year are to return to college from the 11th January.
Specific information for students in terms of how you are expected to access your timetabled lessons on line will be found on Canvas, any staff with questions should contact their line manager.
As ever if things change again we will update you all.
For now best wishes for the new year,
