Financial Support

All of our full-time programmes are free for students under 19 years old.

We provide textbooks and some learning equipment to students which are to be used during your time at the College.

Some courses require students to purchase specialist equipment and materials. Don’t be put off applying though, as these will be available to you from the college at subsidised rates.

Travel to Learn Bursary

The Travel to Learn Bursary is available to students who meet all of the following conditions:

  • The student lives more than 3 miles from Haringey Sixth Form College.
  • The student must currently studying at Haringey Sixth Form College.
  • The student has enrolled on a full-time programme of study at Haringey Sixth Form College and is either on the first or second year of that programme, studied over consecutive years.
  • The student has applied for the bursary before the deadline.
  • The student has a minimum 90% level of attendance.

Free digital device

Digital Device

Students without access to a digital device are invited to apply to college for one free of charge.

Terms and Conditions

The device will be loaned to students based on the following conditions.

  • Students must have a minimum 95% attendance
  • Students must maintain this level of attendance or the device maybe recalled
  • Outstanding behaviour and attitude is the expectation
  • Students should not be on any disciplinary warnings,

Students will have responsibility for the safety and security of the device, the device if lost or stolen cannot be replaced.

16-19 Bursary

16 to 19 Tuition Fund Statement

The purpose of this statement is to set out how Haringey 6th Form College is planning to utilise its 16 to 19 tuition fund allocation to support students who have had their learning disrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic. The targeted and strategic use of this fund will reflect our college values and focus on teaching and learning as our no.1 priority. 

The fund will be used for small group and 1:1 tuition in learning for 16 to 19-year-old learners. This tuition will be in addition to the planned study programme hours.

Learners must be aged 16-19 and must not have already achieved a GCSE grade 5 or above in maths and/or English by age 16. Students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including those who require additional tuition to help them catch up with their studies, will also be supported by this provision.

Tuition groups will comprise of up to a maximum of 7 students and the sessions will be scheduled in addition to the planned programme of study hours. Tuition sessions will be delivered face to face, online or through a blended delivery model.  The support offered will be based on an individual need’s assessment, the identification of an individual starting point, clear learning goals, expectations and outcomes.

The College is committed to ensuring the tuition fund is used in accordance with the Government’s guidance on the 16 to 19 tuition fund and will ensure adherence to the requirements of the fund by:

  • Producing this statement setting out how the fund will be used to support the most disadvantaged students
  • Publishing this guidance on the College website
  • Recording the use of the fund, including references to individual students who receive support, the needs of those students, the number of hours of tuition delivered and retain the evidence of the tuition provided and demonstrate the impact of the support provided
  • Delivering the extra tuition and spend the allocated funds in the academic year 2021/22
  • Notifying the Education Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) of any underspend
